Part 1: Trip Down Memory Lane to Sidney Ohio July 2019

On my way to Findlay for the Camp Glen reunion, I decided to stop for lunch in Sidney where my grandparents and aunt and uncle once lived and where my parents met in high school -- lots of good memories of family times. When I got off the highway, my first stop was Mimi's apartment (I didn't go to Dorothy Love)

Next I drove down Spruce Street to Mary Jane and Bill's house.

Then up and around the corner to Grandma and Grandpa Abbott's house on Chestnut. It made me happy to see young boys playing on the bridge by the depot watching for trains just like my brothers and I had once upon a time.

Everything but the apartment looked pretty good! It was a hot summer day but I got out of the car and walked down Chestnut past the bridge where you used to be able to drive. Down to the other end of Chestnut Street I got out and walked down the alley to find Mary Jane and Bill's house on Fair Ave. Now if it's the one I think, it looked bad.

Or was it this house, which didn't look too great either?
I bet you can guess where I headed for lunch...

Yum! When Debbie comes in August, maybe we can get her to pick up a pie from the car hop. The lemon meringue really looked good but I stuck with old fashioned cream.
