Thanks to my friend Sherry, who's generous enough to share a week at her condo in the Florida panhandle with her Book Club friends. The view from her balcony is much like the one I enjoyed for so many years when my parents wintered at Jetty East in Destin.
Jeffrey Archer's "Clifton Chronicles" on tape kept us entertained during the long drive and the sun was shining when we arrived on Saturday afternoon, in time for a dip in the pool and "sundowners" on the beach.
Sunday brunch at the Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club, now known as Vue 30A.
Followed by working our way east on 30A through Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Seaside, Sea Grove, Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach.
Ask about meeting the parrot at the Red Bar and discovering a cool new place called The Hub to watch NFL Football and listen to music ... fun! After more sunset watching, supper at home before the Miss America pageant on TV; still a hoot!
