WGLF 4-12-16 Brigitte!

Wish it hadn't been too cold to golf with Brigitte but we were so happy to see her at Taste of Belgium at Rookwood and it was good to catch up. Margie got to join us before driving up to Columbus and Rhoda and Dutch and I got to see her too. Hopefully we'll golf when she comes back in October.

A new Jahn grandchild is about to be born any time now. Exciting!

WGLF 4-5-16

Maybe some people golfed Tues April 5 but I didn't because I was busy getting ready to visit Mary Anne in Sarasota. The weather was great (70 clear and sunny) all four days I was there while it snowed in Cincinnati.

Kay Bush and Mary Anne and I had fun Saturday morning at the Farmers' Market downtown and visiting art galleries, where I got tons of ideas and inspiration. I told them about Jane Lach's fabulous aprons and other products, which are so much prettier than the ones being sold here (see photo).

The Frey's home and garden are so beautiful I'd just as soon not go anywhere else when I get there. And a dear friend and sorority sister of mine and her husband have moved in just a few blocks away from Mary Anne and Bob, so I got to introduce them all to each other.

Great time hanging out at Lido Beach before heading home to watch an exciting Masters finish on Sunday. And they sent their good weather home to us in Cincinnati.

WGLF 3-29-16

"Spring forward" always meant WGLF started on Tuesday nights after work. But when Daylight Savings moved from April to March, I wasn't sure we'd play in March, since I'm such a fair weather golfer. I remember one April Tuesday night walking Blue Ash with Carol Sokol freezing our butts off.

Anyway, we actually got Dutchess (Carol R) to play in March for the first time this year; here's the evidence

We played at Golden Tee (aka Tri County) one Tuesday in March but the course was in such terrible shape, we decided Sharon Woods was closer and more worth the $$ even if we don't finish all the holes. So that's where this photo was taken on March 29.

Cold enough that everyone ordered Irish Coffees afterwards at the Blue Goose where we enjoyed $5 black and bleu burgers on "burger night."
